Leo Page McInnis, 92, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday morning, March 21, 2006, at his home. Mr. McInnis was born March 18, 1914, in Montgomery County, a son of the late Daniel McInnis and the late Lizzie Allred McInnis. He was a retired meat cutter at Dixon Cash Store with 30 years of service. During his life, he loved to farm and work in his garden, even plowing his garden last summer when he was 91 years old. He loved the Lord and his family, especially his grandsons, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Brown McInnis of the home; daughters Christine Crews and her husband, Pete, of Winston-Salem, Reba Teeter and her husband, Jeff, of Winston-Salem and Karen Lloyd and her husband, Ray, of Kernersville; grandsons Chris Crews and his wife, Lisa, Kevin Crews and his wife, Latisha, Timothy Crews and his wife, Kim, Shannon Lloyd and Jeremy Lloyd; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel, with Tom Nussbaum and Robert Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 22, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
