Mary Schultz Obituary

Schultz, Mary Faye

January 8, 1931 - July 11, 2021

Mary Faye Schultz passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 11 surrounded by her children.

She began life in Rutherford County, Tennessee, the sixth of seven children of Sam and Edna Jones. She had many happy memories of her family and her life growing up on a farm.

After completing a 2-year associate degree from what is now Middle Tennessee State University, she was recruited to move to Washington, DC to work at the FBI. It was there that she met her husband of 60 years, Roger, who preceded her in death in 2018.

She was an avid sports fan, and was very active in the Winston-Salem tennis community for many years. She also enjoyed playing cards in several bridge clubs, and traveling with Roger to various destinations.

She is survived by a son, Richard Eric Schultz of Winston-Salem, and two daughters, Karen Faith Schultz of Winston-Salem, and Andrea Lee Schultz Agnelli of Charlotte. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 16 at 11am at Centenary United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem, or Centenary United Methodist Church.
