Matthew Allen Davis, 59, of Germanton, NC, died on April 27, 2025, at Atrium Health Baptist Hospital. He was born on September 8, 1965, in Redwood City, CA, to Mary Jo Hiller Davis and Ronald Davis. Matt graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science before attending the University of Florida where he received his Masters in Reproductive Physiology. He worked at Wake Forest University as a Research Scientist for many years studying Lipid Sciences and Molecular Medicine.
In his free time, Matt enjoyed working outside, flower and vegetable gardening and sharing the products he made from produce with friends and family. He also loved traveling with his family, especially overseas.
Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Hiller; and stepmother, Carmen Davis. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Pamela Davis; son, Aaron Davis; father, Ronald Davis of Yuma, AZ; niece, Madison; and sister, Dena Davis of Arizona; as well as his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Schill.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.
