I happened to pass that water tank on my way home last night. The suspension equipement caught my eye and as I glanced over at the tower I wondered what was going on. Reading this mornings paper I now know.
I would like to offer condolences to Matts' family, not just from myself but all of the people here in New Hampshire. We are so sorry for you loss and will keep your son Matt in our prayers.

Joy , you know I love you with all my heart. My heart breaks for you and Sammy and the rest of Matt,s family. I know how you feel because i have been in your shoes. Me and matt graduated togather i was always a loner kid kept to my self and matt was one of the very few that would talk to me and joke around. You will be missed by more people than you probley even know

I went to school and graduated with Matt too. He was such an awesome guy and a wonderful basketball player. He was always giving me a hard time but in a good way. My family and I have been praying for the family and will always be in my thoughts. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know one day we'll see him again. I love you Matt.

Words cannot express how Carl and I feel about Matt. But I will say this we are honored that we got to be a part of Matt's life. As long as we are alive we will keep the memory of Matt alive. I was honered to be able to know Matt when I was staying with my daughter Donna and her sons Brandon and Justin.One day I met this cute little boy with the prettied eyes that could melt your heart and his name was, Matt.he was so little and I called him Midget,but now he didn't let anyone else call him that,my how he grew. He and Sammy both called me Grandma right along with my boys and they all belonged to me.

I went to school with Matt and we also graduated together. It is hard to believe such a good person like him could go at such a young age. You know what they say though "the best die young." He was one of the best. He was always laughing and acting crazy. If I ever needed anyone to talk to, he was always there. I really miss him. So many people miss him. I know in my heart he is in a better place now. We will be with him again one day. I will keep your family in my prayers always. I love you Matt and may you rest in peace.

My heart aches with your pain, I was really stunned to hear this, All I could remeber was the first time I saw Matt at Granny Mabes' he was dressed up for Christmas cute as a button with that pretty blonde hair. Me and Jacob had been friends with Matt for years, and it just hits home to hear a person that you had seen everyday at school go at such a young age. Matt was always the life of the party, he always had everyone laughing and cutting up, he was always someone fun to be around...but at the same time you could talk to him about anything and he would listen. He will always be missed and in our hearts forever.

As mentioned before, Matt was a great person. Especially when you are having a bad day, he was a person to just make you forget about it and start laughing. He was in my Algebra class and he made it fly by!! I can't believe that this happened to such a great person, but again he is in a much better place without sorrows and pain to deal with. May God bless his family and friends with this great loss. RIP Matt.

Its already been said many times, but Matt was a wonderful person, and no one will be able to fill that void that he has left behind in many peoples lives. He was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to come in contact with! My mom used to be a sub-bus driver and she used to ALWAYS drive his route, and he was one of the only people that could make me happy to actually get up and go to school every single morning, and I love him for that! He will be greatly missed by many.

To: Matt's family and friends,
Joy & Sammy: my heart is broken for you. I know Matt through my brother Donnie. He had a unique personality that truly did make you want to be around him. Very funny, very smart, and very courteous. Your pain now is extremely hard. Sadly, I can relate. We had 4 losses in our family last year, including me losing my 18 year old daughter. You can't categorize the extent in which you love someone, but the saddest thing in the world has to be a parent losing a child. It just doesn't seem to be the natural order of life. Please know that you will be in my prayers forever!
I want you all to know that my brother Donnie loved Matt and constantly spoke of how great of a guy he was and how Matt, Andrew, and Dusty had such a good friendship. He cares for everyone that works with him. My brother is devastated and the rest of my family and I are weeping with you during this time. We are sincerely praying for each of you for healing and comfort that on God can give.
Frank: my father-in-law is Larry Mabe. I didn't know before that you were Matt's grandfather. I am so sorry for your loss. My dad lost two children before I was born and he lost a grandchild when my daughter died last year. I know this is hard for you and your family. Please know that I am praying for God's grace to abundantly rest with each of you.
If there is anything myself or my family can do for any of you, please let us know. (Andrew has my contact information). I know you are all proud of Matt, as you should be. He left a great legacy during his time on earth and that is something we should all strive for. One thing that has really helped me over this past 13 months since my daughter died is, knowing that this life on earth is temporary. If we live to be over 100 years old, that time pales in comparison to one second in eternity with Christ. It has helped change my perspective completely to focus on what is really important.
May the God of ALL Comfort be with you and shower you with his love and grace.

Wow, i remember when we all grew up in the same neighborhood. Haha, and i chased you around because i had the biggest crush on you ever. I cant believe how such horrible things can happen to the greatest people. You sincerely were one of a kind and for that I will always remember you. Matt its hard to face the fact that you are gone. When i found out i couldnt do anything but fall to the floor crying. You were a good friend. I remember my first year with you at North Stokes I didnt know anybody in PE with me but you came up to me and started talking to me and encouraged me to keep my head up and meet new people. I love you for that Matt.

Matt was one of the funniest guys I've ever met. He was a great person to be around and there was no way you were going to be around him and not smile. He knew that. And he was great at it. I can not believe that such a great guy is gone, much less at such a young age.

Matt,,gosh I can remember when you were younger. Such a handsome little boy with so much potential. You & Sambo staying with Kenny & Timmy. I can still see you guys just running everywhere. When I heard what had happened I was stunned.
