Michael Edwards Obituary

EDWARDS WINSTONSALEM - Mr. Michael Lee Edwards, 49, of Winston-Salem, loving and devoted husband and father, died Monday, November 29, 2010. He was born to Wayne and Jeanette Edwards on June 29, 1961 in Little Rock, AR. He was a CPA with Hanes Brands, Inc. and graduated from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Susan Schippmann Edwards, of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Elizabeth N. Edwards of the home; a son, Cole Edwards of the home; father-in-law, Edward D. Schipp-mann and a brother-in-law, Jeff S. Schippmann. A short service will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home Chapel on Main Street. A visitation will follow the service until 9:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 202 CentrePort Dr., Suite 100, Greensboro, NC 27409. I worked with Mike in Memphis at Sara Lee. I learned so much from him and truly enjoyed working with him. He was a great boss and friend. I trust that he is at peace now and I hope your family can find peace as well. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
