SIMONE KERNERSVILLE Robert "Bob" Simone April 1, 2012 Robert "Bob" Simone, 64, passed away April 1, 2012. A Gathering of friends will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Reflections Room at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home. A native of Long Island, New York, he was the son of the late Angelina Lagrega and Vincent Phillip Simone. He was a graduate of the University of Miami. He served his country with the US Army as an Armor Officer, stationed most of his service in Germany. Following his military career, he started his career in the packaging business and went to RJR Packaging in 1977. He retired from RJR Packaging in 2003. He loved spending time with his family and was especially proud of his sons' chosen careers of service: Vinny is a High School English Teacher, Rob is a US Naval Officer, and Mike is a Paramedic/Fire-fighter Student. Survivors include his loving wife Nancy (Maddens) Simone of the home; sons Vincent Christopher Simone and Alexis of Richmond, Virginia; Robert Vincent Simone and Kristina of Palo Alto, California; and Michael Ryan Simone of King; granddaughters Madylin Simone and Harper Simone; sister Lee Ann Jones and Bobby of College Station, Texas; brothers Phillip Simone and Cookie of Long Island, New York- and Vincent Simone and Teena of Garland, Texas; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends and loved ones. Bobby could fill a room with his spirit and his joy for life. He loved making people laugh, and he always tried to make people around him feel good. Family was the most important thing in his life. And after that came a clean house, his dogs (who messed up his clean house), a manicured lawn, and golf. "He was my breath, my passion, my split-apart.
