CAUDLE YADKINVILLE Ruby Elizabeth Reece Caudle July 2, 1921 - Feb. 25, 2013 Ruby Elizabeth Reece Caudle, 91, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013. She was born July 2, 1921 in Yadkin County to the late Weldon Franklin Reece and Zettie Prim Reece. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Esker Caudle; brother, Harvey Reece. Surviving are her children, Franklin Caudle, Marie C. Swaim, and Grey (Darlene) Caudle; grandchildren, Holly (Shawn) Myers, Russell Caudle, Lauren (Justin) Willard; great granddaughter, Gina Marie Myers; brother, Kenneth (Opal) Reece. Ruby was a lifelong member of Charity Baptist Church in Boonville and served as a Sunday school teacher in the Beginner's Class for over 20 years. She also worked part-time for her brother, Harvey, as a seamstress at the Old Town Drapery Shop for 28 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family. Ruby was an example of faith, humility, and love to all who knew her. As her family, we were blessed that she shared her life and faith with us. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Charity Baptist Church by the Rev. Marion Swann. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
