Wayne Henry Marshall, 61, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family as he took his last breath, before seeing Heaven's pearly gates, early Tuesday morning October 31, 2023. He was born in Winston-Salem on March 8, 1962, to the late William Reuben Marshall and Nettie Neewa Marshall. Wayne served in the United States Air Force as a Sgt. Bomb Navigation Specialist from 1985-1993. After honorably leaving the Air Force, so his daughter could have "roots", he became a mechanical engineer and retired from Ingredion (Corn Products) in 2017. He also served Forsyth County as a NREMT Paramedic.

He was a man who truly did it all and enjoyed the outdoors, as well as long range rifle shooting and spending time on the sailboat with his family, and his favorite fur daughter, Jazzmine.

Wayne is survived by his beautiful wife of 23 wonderful years, Janet Marshall; his daughter, Jessica Pyrtle, and her husband Nicholas, of Midway; step-daughter, Erika Lineback, and her husband Cody, of King; step-son, Ty Anderson, of Clemnmons; his two beautiful, light of his eye grandsons, Connor Ray and Ryan Henry Pyrtle; his sister, Melba Edwards, of Pfafftown; his two nieces, Laura Johns (Jay), of Knoxville TN, and Kristen Trivett (Shane), of Pfafftown; and his favorite nephew, Jeremy Edwards (Lori), of Tobaccoville.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 3rd, at Salem Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Road. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 4th, at New Hope United Methodist Church 5125 Shattalon Drive.
