William Hatcher Obituary

HATCHER NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC William R. "Buddy" Hatcher June 14, 1949 - Dec. 26, 2012 William R. "Buddy" Hatcher, 63, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. went home to heaven on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 in Charleston SC. He was born in Laurinburg NC, on June 14, 1949 to the late Cleveland Hatcher and Lula Mae Leviner Hatcher, preceded in death by his brother Bobby Hatcher. He resided in North Myrtle Beach SC following his, retirement from T.W. Garner Food Company in Winston Salem NC where he was a special events coordinator and salesman. Buddy is survived by his daughter Jennifer Hatcher (JT Brown), two grandchildren, Tristan Jester and Emma Brown, two sisters: Betty McDaniel and Peggy McPherson, one brother: Pete Hatcher and friends. His love of adventure both professionally and personally led him all over the country, seeing new places and making new friends. He never met a stranger, his smile and laugh infectious. Buddy loved beach music and shag dancing. He enjoyed golfing and recently made his first hole in one. He was a man that will be remembered as a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, and friend, but most of all a person that truly lived every moment of life to its fullest. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. ~Robert Frost In honor of his request, a celebration of his life will take place June 15, 2013, at 12:00 p.m., on the beach: 100 Main St. Ocean Drive, North Myrtle Beach, SC

I am so sad to hear about Buddy's passing. I really enjoyed working with him at Garner's. He truly lived life to the fullest and was a lot of fun. Nancy and I are sad to know that each of you, and especially the grandchildren, will not have more fun times with him. We have all of you in our prayers.
