James "Jim" Howell Ledlow

PARDEEVILLE - James "Jim" Howell Ledlow, 81, of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully, September 22, 2023 at Meriter Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 20, 1942 to Houston and Effie Ledlow in Colbert County, AL.
Jim grew up in Alabama until he turned 16 and moved to Chicago. He worked in construction and poured concrete for many years. He also helped pour the concrete slabs for the Marina Towers and Navy Pier in Chicago.
When Jim turned 18, he bought his lifelong home in Pardeeville, WI. There, Jim had a hobby farm with horses and goats. Jim was also a beekeeper and was passionate about caring for healthy and sick animals.
Jim is survived by his wife, Debra; children: Howie Ledlow, Kim Ledlow, Jeff (Peggy) Ledlow, Cindy Ledlow, Thomas (Karla) Ledlow, Ashley (Justin) Kassner, Chad (Amanda) Steinle, and Amanda Achterberg; grandchildren: James, Gus, Hayden, Andrew, Travis, Kaitlin, Jessica, Jillian, Thomas, Jamie, Ryan, Tyler, Candy, and Devin; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Gary Ledlow. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise, and brothers: Ray, Dave, Buddy, and Lloyd "Wormy".
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ledlow Farm, W2980 County Road CM, Pardeeville. Interment will follow at North Marcellon Cemetery.
