Joseph Kluz Obituary
January 16, 1942 - August 1, 2025
Joseph Paul Kluz Sr., age 83 of Fox Lake, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Joseph was born in Beaver Dam on January 16, 1942, the eldest son of 15 children. After graduating Waupun High School, Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1963. He was also a member of the Fox Lake American Legion Post 521. During grade school Joseph met the love of his life, Nancy Welch while playing marbles. On April 18, 1964, Joseph married Nancy at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fox Lake where the two were dedicated members for the rest of their lives. Together they raised three sons, tended to their gardens and bird feeders, all while sharing many years of laughter. In his free time Joseph enjoyed playing cards, especially Sheepshead, throughout Dodge County. Board games were also a favorite activity of Joseph's when spending time with grandchildren and other family. Joseph will be missed by many family and friends, including his beloved dog, Ruffles.
Joseph is survived by his sons, Gary (Tammy Prietz) of Beaver Dam and James (Donna) of Clintonville; grandsons, Bradley (Holly) and Paul (Jelly); great-granddaughter, Brooklynn; 13 siblings; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy; son, Joseph Kluz Jr.; one sister; and other relatives.
A visitation for Joseph will take place on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 4:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Annunciation Catholic Parish, 305 Green St, Fox Lake from 9:00 a.m., until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Nicholas Dhein as celebrant. Burial will take place at Annunciation Cemetery.
