Barrett, Arlene M.

Arlene M. Barrett, age 82, of 1191 Weeping Willow Drive, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Wisconsin Rapids Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 26, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Kent Raddatz will officiate, burial will be at a later date in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and again at the Church on Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

Arlene was born August 11, 1930 in Kewaskum, WI to the late Aloysius and Marietta (O'keefe) Steger. She married Jack Barrett on April 13, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI; he died April 6, 2009. Arlene and her husband Jack owned and operated Barrett's Auction Center in Wisconsin Rapids. She was a member of the American Cribbage Congress. Arlene was an avid card and cribbage tournament player, loved trips to the casino, was a veracious reader and enjoyed crocheting beautiful doilies and afghans.

Arlene is survived by her children; Michael (Melita) Barrett of Wisconsin Rapids, Patrick (Linda) Barrett of Wisconsin Rapids, grandchildren Alyson (Jesse) Gildenzopf, Michael Barrett Jr., Shannon Barrett, Ryan Rowe, Nicholas (Tara) Barrett, great-grandchildren Isaiah Rowe, Alexis Rowe, Patrick Gutknecht, Brooklyn Thompson, Declan Gildenzopf, sisters June (Robert) Leigh, Patricia (Robert) Kasubaski, brothers John (Pat) Steger, Jim (Beverly) Steger and Larry Steger.

She was preceded in death by her parents Aloysius and Marrietta Steger, husband Jack Barrett, sister Beatrice (Joseph) Stemler, Marjorie (Pete) Thiel, brothers Al Steger, Tom Steger and infant brother Kenneth Steger.
