Eron, Rev. James Phillip

The Rev. James Phillip Eron, age 80, of Sun City West, Arizona, died May 7, 2013 after a long bout with Alzheimer's disease.

A Memorial Mass will be held 8:00 AM, Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. Sayahanathan Nathan will officiate.

James was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, the eldest son of Phillip and Vinnie Eron. He was married to Marinell Hale Shea Eron since 1974. He served as a priest in both Roman Catholic and Episcopal Churches. He served as a pastor and educator in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Hawaii, California and Arizona.

He is survived by his loving wife Marinell, nine step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers Thomas (Caryn) Eron of Horseshoe Bend, AR and Francis (Shirley) Eron of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dr. Margaret Brown.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
