Joseph M. Crabb, age 87, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Funeral Services are 12:00 Noon Friday, November 21, 2014 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Jim Altman will officiate. Visitation will be at Saints Peter & Paul Church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is assisting the family. Online condolences can be sent to ritchayfuenralhome.com.

Joe was born March 11, 1927 in Pittsville, WI to Philip and Antonette (Kersten) Crabb. He married Edith M. Knapp on December 11, 1947 in Oberstdorf, Germany. She died November 19, 2006. Joe was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc. for 41 years retiring in May 1989 as a cutter operator. Joe was a faithful part time employee at Higgins Funeral Home for 54 years. He served in the U.S. Army from April 1946 until March 1949.

Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus- Council #1558 of Wisconsin Rapids. Joe enjoyed working in his woodworking shop creating gifts that were enjoyed by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved watching and attending his grandchildren and great grandchildren activities. Because of his mechanical talents, the family came to him as Mr. Fix-It, the guy who had all the parts to fix it.

Joe is survived by four daughters, Rosemarie (Thomas) Loock of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Joanne Crapisi of Chippewa Falls, WI, Darlene (Ronald) King of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Jacklynn (Greg) Sullivan of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; two sons, Michael (Katie) Crabb of New Berlin, WI and Mark (Jill) Crabb of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) Eswein, Ryan (Heather) Loock, Jennifer (Chris) Thompson, Andrea (Jon) Simon, Nikki (Murray) Woods, Heather (Josh) Egerer, Robert (Tanya) Braun, Alexis (Kenny) Braun, David Crabb, Emily Crabb and Scott Crabb; great grandchildren, Collin, Ellie, Paige, Lily, Amber, Jacoby, Meredith, Evan, Jack, Zoe, Ava, Tressa and Tyler; and friend, Karen. Joe is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom enjoyed his calls and visits.

Joe was preceded in death by his adored wife, Edith, his parents, brothers, Matt, Lawrence, Norbert, John, Martin and Edward and grandson, Nicholas Crabb.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Joe's name at a later date.
