Barbara A. Linke

Barabara A. Linke Floyd/Rome Barbara A. Linke, 83, of Floyd/Rome, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Wynn Hospital. She was born on June 7, 1942 in Utica, a daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Downey) Linke and was educated in Utica schools. Barbara was employed as a machine operator at Mele Manufacturing, Utica and then worked at Jet Cleaners in Yorkville until her retirement. Barbara adored flowers, tending to her gardens and working in her yard. She had quite the talent when it came to arranging her beautiful floral boxes, which brought in all her favorite butterflies. Barbara loved to play cards with her family and friends and spent hours upon hours playing Tripoley, showing no mercy to her opponents. She was a fan of sports and in her younger years, she bowled in two leagues and adored her beloved NY Yankees and Mets. Surviving are her daughter, Debra LaMondie; sisters, Bonnie Ambridge and Rebecca (Bob) Koslosky; special nieces, Renee (Chris Calidonna) Ambridge and Mandy (Mike) Delahunt. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Lamondie; sisters, Judy Linke and Beverly Linke and brother, William Linke. Barbara's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the first responders with Amcare Ambulance Services, Floyd EMS and Sherriff Deputy Jon Owens and Deputy Wood for all their wonderful care and compassion. They would also like to thank Barbara's close neighbors and friends, Lynn, Harry and Debbie, for always being there for her. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 1 pm in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yorkville. Arrangements are with Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main St., Whitesboro.
