Dorothy A. Rodzinka

Dorothy A. Rodzinka, beloved mother to Mark and Michael, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in 1940, in Utica, NY, to Walter and Anna Klockowski Burak. Dorothy graduated from New York Mills High School and continued her education at Hartwick College, which led to a 34-year career teaching Mathematics at Sauquoit Valley High School. She impacted the lives of countless students over the years, remembering and cherishing them long after her retirement. Dorothy was a lifelong parishioner of the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa and a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society. She is survived by her children, Mark Rodzinka, Michael Rodzinka and his wife, Barbara; her grandson, Jackson and brother, Richard Burak. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, and sister, Arlene. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa, 201 Main Street, New York Mills, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus & Casimir Cemetery, Whitesboro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Utica Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
