Franklin J. Johnson

Franklin J. Johnson, 87 of Morrisville, formerly of Sherburne, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Crouse Community Center. He was born on July 8, 1938, in Hamilton, a son of the late Frank and Marion (Quillman) Johnson and graduated from Hamilton High School. On August 29, 1960, in Sherburne he married Edna S. Muller, a union of over 63 years until her passing on February 11, 2024. Franklin was Superintendent for the Town of Hamilton Highway Department and later worked for the Village of Hamilton until his retirement. He served on the board of the Poolville Cemetery Association and helped with the operation of the cemetery along with his wife Edna for many years, He enjoyed hunting and wood crafting. Surviving are his children Franklin, Jr. and Dorenda Johnson of New Berlin, Don and Heidi Johnson of Earlville, Teresa and Thomas Marshall of Tipp City, OH; a sister Katherine Barrett of Hamilton; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Randy A. Johnson and a sister Jean Harmon. A Celebration of Franklin's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Poolville Community Center. Franklin and Enda will be interred together in the Poolville Cemetery in a private family service.
