Rose Vieta Obituary

Mrs. Rose M. Vieta, age 80, of Herkimer passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at Wynn Hospital in Utica.

Rose was born on April 3, 1945, in Carthage NY. Daughter of the late Fred and Rachael Carr (Carm). She graduated High School and worked at Remington Arms in Ilion as a cleaner for many years. Rose was united in marriage to Louis Vieta in July of 1984. Rose loved dancing to and listening to Elvis Presley. She also greatly enjoyed playing a game of Uno with her friends and family as well as sitting and relaxing on her porch.

Rose left us to be reunited with her parents and other loved ones. She is survived by her husband Louis Vieta, as well as her additional family, Rosie (Honie) Blanchard, John Carr Jr., Lisa (Jeremy) Cook, Rachel Wisner (Dorjean), Gordon and Matthew Carr-Wisner, Debra Wisner and Kimberly Wisner, Michael Wisner, Paige Cook, Danielle Wisner, Sky Wisner, Braxton Wisner, Mark Carr and Melody Carr, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friend Mabel of Little Falls. 

In keeping with Rose's wishes, there will be no formal services.
