Robert Ervin Stanifer

Robert Ervin Stanifer Jr., 72, of Lafayette, passed away on March 30, 2025. He was born December 1, 1952, in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Robert Ervin and Nancy Brady Stanifer. On January 9, 1993, in Romney Methodist Church, he married Synoble Lee Stinson, who survives. He was a graduate of the 1971 class of Lafayette Jeff High School. He later went on to earn his Associates degree in Science. Robert worked for Whirlpool Corporations as a Maintenance Department Manager. He previously worked for Pillsbury. His hands, skilled in mechanical work, were also used to carefully record and preserve his family's history. His mind, always seeking understanding, found both challenge and comfort in his study of the Bible. Survived by wife of 32 years Synoble Lee Stanifer and their children, Chris (Kim) Stanifer, of Lafayette, Robert (Barbara) Stanifer III, of Wabash, Aaron (Tracy) Stanifer, of Lafayette, Mary Cox, of Muncie, Andrew (Deb) Stanifer, of Goshen, Anna Louzon, of Vacaville, CA. and Melissa Minton, of Middlesboro, KY. sisters Linda (George) Leap, of Lafayette, Cindy (Glenn) Shockey, of Dayton and Kay Muse, of Frankfort, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Bobbie Gayle Landreth and Patricia Apparicio. A Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with burial following in Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens.
