Ruby Hayslip Pfeiffer, 84, of Martinsville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Her husband, Ronald R. Pfeiffer, survives. They were married November 20, 1982. Mrs. Pfeiffer was born July 30, 1938 in Clarksville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lucy McGeorge Hayslip. Ruby was an avid bingo player and enjoyed bowling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Paul (Jennifer) Bailey and Danny Bailey; two daughters, Standelyn (Jerry) Williams and Jody Bailey; four brothers, Randy Hayslip, Roger Hayslip, Rocky Hayslip, and Darrell Hayslip; six sisters, June Davis, Mae Holman, Goldie Lawson, Linda K. Schneider, Pam Warfield, and Carol Kirby; 12 grandchildren, Shawn Reynolds, Jennifer Bandy, Ashleigh Hudson, Paul Bailey Jr., Joshua Bailey, Logan Allphin, Brittney Shepard, Amanda Bailey, Rachel Bailey, James Bailey, Ruby Bruce, and Kimberly Bruce; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon Reynolds and Brenda Griffin, and three brothers, Russel Hayslip, Ray Hayslip, and Gale Hayslip.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruby's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
