Albert Charpentier Obituary
Albert worked as a Barber and Hairdresser, along with four of his brothers. His son Peter, daughter Michelle and niece Jane all apprenticed for the trade in their care, at Lorenzo's Barber Shop in Woonsocket.
Albert was a WWII Naval Veteran. He served his military time, along with his twin brother Robert, in the Navy Band. Born into a musical family, he later performed in the Water Foley's and in Vaudeville.
Albert is survived by his two sons, Peter Charpentier and his wife Charlene of Falmouth, MA and Jeffrey Charpentier of Woonsocket, two daughters, Monique Milliard of NH and Michelle Louis and her husband Jonathan of FL, one granddaughter, Jessica Charpentier of Falmouth, two great grandsons, Tyler and Caden Rudek, and his siblings, Robert Charpentier, Helen VanHouwe, Claire Falardeau and Laurianne Plouffe, all of Woonsocket, and Emery Charpentier of FL, Joseph Charpentier of N. Kingston and Jean Dolan of CO.
He was pre-deceased by his granddaughter Jaclyn Rudek and siblings Lorenzo, Roland, Rene and Roul Charpentier, Rita Pierel, Patsy Boucher, Leona Bousquet and Muriel Remillard.
His funeral services will begin with Visitation, Friday morning, January 12th in the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main Street, Woonsocket from 9-11AM. A service will be held at 11:00AM in the Funeral Home. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave, Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062 or Meals on Wheels, 70 Bath St, Providence, 02908.
