Albert Cordeiro Obituary
Born in Lagoa, Sao Miguel, Acores, a son of the late Eduardo and Maria Eduarda (Cardoso) Cordeiro, Albert worked as a machinist and toolmaker for International Packaging, Pawtucket for over 45 years until his retirement in 2011. He was a longtime member of the Grupo Amigos da Terceira, member #33, and Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente.
Besides his loving wife, Albert leaves a son, Albert M. Cordeiro, Jr., and his wife, Tanya Guglietti of Pawtucket; a daughter, Melissa C. Almeida and her husband, Joe of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Adam and Emily Almeida and Alexander Cordeiro; a brother, John Cordeiro in New Jersey; a sister, Zee Rodrigues of North Kingstown and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. at the Church of St. Leo the Great, St. John Paul II Parish, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lagoa, Sao Miguel, Acores.
In respect of Albert's wishes flowers and visitation are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, C/O St. John Paul II Parish will be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to William W. Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
