WOONSOCKET - Albert E. Pare, 87, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Woonsocket Health Center with loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband of the late Parmelia A. (Champagne) Pare.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on November 4, 1930 he is the son of the late Albert J. and Hosanna (Frappier) Pare. He is the loving father of Albert E. Pare, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Harrisville, RI and Marc N. Pare and his wife, Sharon of Bellingham, MA. He leaves his cherished grandchildren Zachary and his wife, Michelle, Travis, Jonathan and his wife, Shelby, Scott and Jamie, and his late great-grandson Connor Pare. He is the brother of the late Roland Pare, Sr., Hubert Pare, Robert Pare, Marguerite Morin and Claire Pare. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of Woonsocket he also resided in Palm Coast, FL for several years. He worked in maintenance at Teknor Apex, Pawtucket, RI for over 25 years until retiring.
He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran and received the Army of Occupation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post #85 Fairmount.
He was a communicant of All Saints Church. He was an avid pitch player, loved playing cards and trips to the casinos. Together with his wife they enjoyed vacationing and cruises. He loved fishing with his sons. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, April 19th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St., Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket, RI. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, April 18th from 5PM to 8PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
