Alice Mathurin Obituary
She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Mathurin for 45 years until his death in 1979. Alice was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lucina (Richard) Charpentier. She worked in the textile industry until her retirement in 1984.
She leaves a daughter, Edna Grzyb of Attleboro, three sons Robert Mathurin of Chula Vista, Calif., Leo Mathurin of Warwick, and Roger Mathurin of Wareham, a sister, Florence Croteau of Lincoln, nine grandchildren and many great and great-great children. She was the mother of the late Raymond and Gerard Mathurin and sister of the late Irene Poisson, Yvonne Boucher, and Alfred, Leo, George, Wilfred and Gerard Charpentier.
Her funeral will be held from the Darlington Mortuary, L. Heroux & Son, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo's Church, St. John Paul II Parish, Central Avenue, Pawtucket at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 21, from 5–8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to in her memory to Oakland Grove Health Care Center would be appreciated.
