A part of Southern New England history, Mr. Cadoret delivered the weather when there were few other options for information in the 60s and 70s. Whether the glee of hearing a snow day in winter or the pain of rain in summer, Arhtur Cadoret Junior was as much a part of my youth as any neighbor I once had in Blackstone. He was as consistent in my youth as the smell of cofee in the morning. Good bye, Mr. Cadoret. Best wishes to his family.

If I were to add my memories of my relationship with Arthur I would have to write a book. He was a part of my life since day one, and since both of us were only children he was the big brother that I never had. We grew up together, our parents vacationed together on Cape Cod, he taught me not to be afraid of the waves, I went to his college graduation, was a bridesmaid at his wedding and I could go on and on, but one of my most favorite memories is when he first began his weather forecast at radio station WWon and he would take me with him with the promise that I would not say a word or make a sound and I never did because being at the station with him made me feel so very important. I am going to miss you Tuddy, but it's those memories and so many more that will put a smile on my face when I think of you.

To the Cadoret Family,
No matter how long you have someone, it is always painful when you lose them.
My family was a big fan of Arthur's weather forecasts, not only was he so local, his were also invariably the best. His reports from "the weather station" were eagerly anticipated and could be counted on, unlike those from Providence, where the weather really was different from Woonsocket's.

Dear Mary,

Our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved husband. I remember you both as a lovely young couple, married just a year after we were. Perhaps you might remember us...Roger Lacouture and Sheila Laffan...your husband's dad, Arthur Cadoret Sr. and my dad, James Laffan, worked together as reporters for the Providence Journal for years and years.

I remember your husband's weather predictions on radio station WWON, and he correctly predicted the weather on our wedding day in 1961. He was spot-on!

You and your family are in our prayers.
