Augusta LaPorte Obituary
Augusta graduated from High School then attended Rhode Island College and earned a Masters Degree. She worked as a school teacher for 37 years, starting in Esmond, then Chepachet and finally at Burrillville Jr. Sr. High School, where she retired as a Guidance Counselor. Augusta was a Communicant and former Choir Director for the Community Baptist Church in Pascoag. She was a member of Delta Capa Gamma Society International, former Board Member of the Pascoag Library, was a member of several Retired Teacher Organizations and a member of the Burrillville Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a son Howard LaPorte of Nasonville; a daughter Gail Senerchia of West Warwick; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Joseph LaPorte, a brother Harry Gale and a grandson Daniel LaPorte.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 9am from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag with services at 10AM in Community Baptist Church, 113 Church St., Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Emerson Rd., Harrisville. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1 to 4 PM. www.boucherfh.com

My sincere condolences to the Laporte Family,
May the Lords promise comfort you at this time and wonderful memories fill your heart with smiles.
Mrs. Laporte was my first grade teacher at Chepachet Elementary. She was one of the teachers in my life I never forgot.
