Barbara A. McGee

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Barbara A. McGee, 76, Black Plain Road, died July 21, 2015 at home surrounded by family. She was the wife of Thomas P. McGee, III for fifty six years. Born in Blackstone, MA, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Isabel (Lynch) Larsh.
She worked for Needlecraft, Woonsocket for twenty seven years. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always ready with a Novena for those in need of prayers. She was a member of the St. John's Ladies Guild, the Garden Club of North Smithfield, and the proud first recipient of the North Smithfield Green Citizens Award for her volunteer work in keeping the town clean. She also volunteered at St. Paul's Church, Blackstone for eleven years sorting cans for the S.O.S. Save Our School Fund and the Ronald McDonald House.
Besides her loving husband Tom, she is survived by her five children, Thomas P. McGee IV, Timothy McGee and his wife JoAnn, Nancy Perda and her husband Michael, James McGee and his wife Debra, and Scott McGee and his wife Kerry; her brother Roland Larsh and her sister Helen Provost; nine grandchildren, Thomas, Jackson, Sean, Matthew, Kathyrn, Sarah, Luke, Joseph, and Reagan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville, RI. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. To honor Barbara's wishes there are no calling hours.
