Beatriz Ayotte Obituary

WOONSOCKET - Beatriz (Betty) S. Ayotte, 75, of Woonsocket died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence after a brief but aggressive battle with Leukemia. She was the loving wife of Richard R. Ayotte. They were married on May 10, 1980.
Born in Colón, Panama, she was the daughter of the late Ana Marchwicki. She lived in Blackstone for several years and was a longtime resident of Woonsocket. Betty was the co-owner of Ayotte Printing on Cass Avenue and greeted customers with her warm and welcoming demeanor.
An active and adventurous woman, Betty was an avid tennis player, walked a mile-and-a-half per day, and enjoyed country dancing. She also enjoyed many trips both domestically and internationally and really loved Hawaii. She had a great affinity for animals, including horses – her favorite breed Friesians of Majesty, and dogs – especially her special pal "PJ." Betty had a special interest in the metaphysical studies and learning about many different philosophical and religious traditions and their viewpoints on life.
No matter what came her way in life, Betty was resolute in her positive outlook. Her spirit of love and happiness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her husband of 37 years she is survived by a son, Russell Kappelle, of Hawaii and his wife, Lynne. She was the mother of the late Kenneth and Lloyd Kappelle. She was the sister of Roberto Barrera and his wife Christine.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Betty's courageous battle with Leukemia can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Rhode Island Chapter, 2348 Post Rd. Suite 202 Warwick RI. 02886 or www.lls.org/rhode-island.
Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.

To Richard and family. My deepest condolences to the lost of Betty. She was the finest and most elegant woman you would ever meet. She always had a smile on her face. Always love talking to her and her husband Richard, mostly politics and we would laugh a lot. God Bless her, Richard, and family.Dave Dansereau

To You, Betty's Family, My deepest sympathy to all of you. It's been years since being in touch with Betty or Poncho(her brother) but we were school mates back in Fairmount, many years ago & also Woonsocket High. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. An old school friend.

I am so very saddened to hear of Betty's passing. We were friends way back in the 6th grade and lived in Fairmount. I will always remember her for her kindness and beautiful smile! She was an all around wonderful person.

To Bob & Christine & family my deepest sympathy is with you at this sorrowful time!

Betty was a reflection of God's love and we know where she is......

in HIS peace,
