Bernard Ryder Obituary
He is survived by three daughters, Gretchen Ryder Sharry and her husband Thomas, Priscilla Ryder and her husband Tim Jacoby, and Suellen Albahary and her husband David; two sons, Christopher Ryder and his wife Judy, and Jeffrey Ryder and his wife Carol; one brother, James Ryder; and 15 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Austin Ryder.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 4 at 11am in Saint Leo the Great Church of Saint John Paul II Parish, 697 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Arrangements by the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, Pawtucket.

Hope I uploaded this photo correctly. Mr. Ryder was our math teacher in 1957. This picture was taken from my senior yearbook. I finally understood what it was all about.

I LOVED Mr. Ryder! He was my favorite teacher at Rockland High School, in Rockland, Massachusetts. He taught Math in our school in 1957. Everyone loved him! I shall inform my classmates of his passing of over 4 years ago. Thank you for the "In Memoriam" that appeared in the Globe today. I recognized him right away even though it's been over 65 years since I last saw him. We plan to have our 65th reunion in September.

Dear Gretchen,
We were so sorry to hear about the unexpected passing of your dad. We enjoyed meeting him and talking to him on several occasions during the years while the kids were growing up. He always had a ready smile and an interesting story! You and your family are in out thoughts and prayers at this time. We will see you on Friday.
