Blanche Dussault

WOONSOCKET - Blanche (Foisy) Dussault 89, of Mendon Road, Woonsocket, died Oct. 8, 2016 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket, after a long illness.

Blanche was a homemaker and mother. The greatest joys in her life were her two daughters, her "girls." When they were children, she proudly dressed them in mother and daughter dresses. She had a natural sense of style.

Whether it was 10-pin or Wii bowling; she excelled. She was a member of the ladies bowling league, "The Golden Girls," at Walnut Hill Lanes. She loved to shop at the malls and browse through the stores. She enjoyed playing cards with her daughter, Denise, and her good friend and neighbor, Claire. One of her pastimes was doing word search puzzles. She liked to travel with Diane and Len in their motor home and camp by the ocean with them at the Charlestown Breachway Beach in Charlestown, R.I. She also spent many summer days with Denise and Jack at Echo Lake in Burrillville, R.I. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket.

She was the wife of the late Alfred Dussault. She was born in North Smithfield and was the daughter of the late Edward and Aldea (Paquin) Foisy. She was predeceased by her sister, Jeannette Lefrancois and her son-in-law, Jack Delaney.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Diane Lagasse and her husband, Len, of Charlestown; and Denise Delaney of Blackstone, Mass.; a brother, Armand Foisy, of Slatersville, R.I.; a sister, Claire Therrien, of Woonsocket; and two grandsons, John Delaney of Utah and William Delaney of Providence. Her grand-dog, Nellie, provided comfort to her throughout her extended illness.

Burial will be private. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Donations in Mrs. Dussault's memory may be made to the American Lung Association of R.I., 260 W. Exchange St. #102b, Providence, RI 02903.
