Blanche C. Duval

WOONSOCKET - Blanche C. (Laperle) Duval, 90, of Woonsocket, passed away Nov. 19, 2016, in The Holiday, Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Donatien Duval, whom she married in 1947. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Elizabeth (Frappier) Laperle.

She worked as a stitcher for the former Webster Coat Co., Pawtucket, retiring in 1986. Blanche also worked for the former Finkelsteins and the former Royal Robes, both in Woonsocket. She was a lifetime communicant of Holy Family Church
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Garceau and her husband William of Kimberling, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Patricia Duval of Woonsocket; three grandsons, nieces and nephews. Blanche was the sister-in-law to Bertrand Duval and his wife Irene of Manville, who were her caretakers for many years. Blanche was the mother of the late Dennis Duval.

Her funeral will be held, Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, beginning with visitation at noon in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 414 South Main St. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham. The family would like to thank Nursing Placement Hospice Care and The Holiday for their loving and devoted attention to Blanche.
