BURRILLVILLE - Bonnie R. Bailey, 75, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away June 28, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Born in Providence, RI on October 1, 1949, she is the daughter of the late D. Claire

Perry and

Raymond Stephenson. She grew up primarily in Pascoag, RI and graduated from Burrillville High School. On June 28, 1969, she wed Leonard Lenny Bailey at Berean Baptist Church, Burrillville, RI, where they remained lifelong communicants. She and Lenny resided in Pascoag, where Bonnie worked as a hairdresser and school bus driver before graduating from CCRI and beginning her career as a Registered Nurse at Zambarano Hospital. Lenny passed away in 2014 and in 2021, Bonnie relocated to Rio Rancho, NM.

She leaves behind son, Chef Leonard Bailey II and wife Tina of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Dawn Marie Caniff and husband Dennis of Port Charlotte, FL and grandchildren: Brennon Grover, Devin Caniff, Daniel Bailey and Violet Bailey. She is also survived by sister, Deborah Stephenson Carter and her husband Jan of Whiteville, NC; sister, Ann Marie Dubey of Gastonia, NC; sister-in-law Charlene Bailey Ladurantaye and husband Richard of Taunton, MA; niece Karen Dubey Ward; nephews: Brian Dubey and Steven Letendre; her best friend, Carol Pelkey; her cousin, who she thought of as a sister, Phyllis Robillard; several grandnieces and grandnephews; numerous cousins, and her partner, Conaly Reed of Rio Rancho, NM.

A memorial service for Bonnie was held at Fairwinds Retirement Community, Rio Rancho, NM, on July 6, 2025. Family and friends are invited to visitation for Bonnie on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM with her funeral service at 12 PM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag, RI. Burial will follow in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Putnam Pike, Chepachet, RI. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to the collation at Berean Baptist Church hall, 474 Chapel St., Harrisville, RI.
