Bruce Holmes Obituary
Born in Waltham, Mass., on May 2, 1960, he is the son of George C. Holmes and the late Jeannette (Ritchie) Holmes of Bellingham. He leaves his son Ryan C. Holmes and his wife, Kori of Riverside, and stepdaughter Dawn Ison and her husband, Will of Whitinsville; and cherished grandchildren Lola Rey Holmes, Sariena and Lily Mae Ison. He leaves his sisters, Alice E. Eames and Andrew Sliwinski of Plainville, and Heather A. Lee and her husband, George of Cumberland; and his three nieces.
Bruce was a resident of Woonsocket, formerly of Bellingham, and graduated in the class of 1978 of Bellingham High School. Bruce worked in construction for T&D Construction, New England Modular and Local 330. He was a very talented carpenter and extremely generous with his time and skills whenever family and friends were in need. He had a tough exterior, but everyone who knew him best saw how committed and loving he was. This was never more apparent than when he was playing with his grandchildren. Devoted to his family, Bruce will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, at 7 p.m. at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 South Main St. (Route 126), Bellingham. Visiting hours are 5 to 7 p.m. prior to service.

Bruce was the greatest papa there was I cant believe its been a year he was smart and he build my room and other thing with all my love Sariena .

Bruce has been gone about a year now...He has been deeply missed. A piece of each of us left that day. My mom...Bruces love, has had a rough year missing him. This is going to be a tough week for her. Please keep her in your prayers and a maybe send her a message. Our lives changed when we lost Bruce. And things wont be the same without him but he continues to bless us with his love....He is there for sariena when she is sad and needs him. He has been lilys guardian angel in more then one case....My girls miss him too! Sariena holds his "hanky pillow" when she sleeps at night and lily still says "I miss my snot box papa" and she says it often. He used to play im gonna get u in the snot box with them always.....Thank you papa. For always loving my girls and my momma so much! And of coarse for your dedication and hard work always helping us out with the house. You were always there for us. And we will always remember you as our greatest papa.
