Cecile Clara Brissette

BURRILLVILLE - Cecile Clara (nee Boucher) Brissette, 89, of Mapleville, passed away on July 15, 2017 at Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. She is the wife of the late Arthur "Breezy" Brissette. Cecile was born in Harrisville to the late Leo and Blanch (nee Pacquin) Boucher.
Cecile was a lifelong resident of Burrillville. Cecile's passion was nursing. She worked as a nurse's aid, for many years, at Zambarano Hospital. Prior to working as an aid, Cecile worked in local textile mills.
Cecile volunteered for many organizations, including Meals on Wheels. She loved all games and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Cecile is survived by three sons, Mark of Sana Rosa, California, Karl of Miami, Florida and John (Jayne) Miecielica of West Bend, Wisconsin. She has five grandchildren, Adam, Elizabeth, Michael, Kevin, and Cory Miecielica.
Cecile has two brothers. The late Robert and Victor Boucher. She also has a sister, Audrey Letondress of Florida.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Highway, Oakland with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Good Help Church, Mapleville. Following the funeral Cecile will be buried at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial in Exeter. Her wake will be from 5 to 7 on Wednesday at the Brown Funeral Home.
