Charles Blanchette Obituary
Born in Woonsocket on Nov. 24, 1932, the son of the late Arthur and Florence (LeDuc) Blanchette, he was the loving father of Debra L. Breth and her husband, David of Woonsocket, and Karen A. McCarthy and her husband, Fulvio Giannozzi of Upton, Mass.
He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Mulcahy of Buffalo, N.Y.; and Russell Metzger of Woonsocket. He is the brother of Luke Jarrett of Prescott, Ariz., Lucille Briggs of Hemet, Calif., and the late Paul Blanchette.
A lifelong resident of Woonsocket, he spent most of his career working as auto body repair manager at Chabot Motors in Millbury, Mass., for over 30 years until retiring in 1998.
He was a United States Navy Korean War Veteran, serving on the USS Dortch.
He enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, and was a talented artist and loved animals. Mr. and Mrs. Blanchette enjoyed polka dancing. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham. A Memorial Mass will be held at All Saints Church at a later date.

Dear Blanchette Family,
It is so nice to see the continued Memorial for Charles. I remember him driving us to a polish picnic on a Saturday., I believe it was in Newport. Such a kind man.

Mrs.Blanchette., Debra and Karen, It is so nice to see you have a memorial for Charles. Every time I went over to see Karen he was always smiling and there was always polka music playing in the house.
