Conrad A. "Joe" Labonte

1933 - 2017

BELLINGHAM - Conrad A. "Joe" Labonte, 83, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 29, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Helen E. (Kircorian) Labonte for 65 years.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on September 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Conrad and Rosia (Carriere) Labonte. He was the loving father of Diane Martin and her husband, Richard of North Smithfield, RI, Colleen Douglas of Bellingham, MA, Cynthia Schroeder and Alan Bogan of Bellingham, MA, Ronald Labonte of North Providence, RI, Richard Labonte and Lucy Pasquerillo of Bellingham, MA and Paul Labonte of Quincy, MA. He leaves his cherished 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Benoit and Richard Labonte, Gertrude Charron and Theresa Yeaton.
A resident of Bellingham for 60 years formerly of Woonsocket, Joe worked as an electronic technician at Raytheon Corporation for 40 years until retiring.
He was a communicant of the former Assumption Church and St. Theresa Church. He was a member of the Woonsocket YMCA. Joe loved to golf and was a member of the golf league The Regular Foursome at Chemawa Golf Course with his buddies Rocky, Dick, Bill and Bobby. He also had 4 hole in ones. He enjoyed bowling on the league at Walnut Hill Bowl, played on the Senior Softball League, and was an avid gardner. Joe enjoyed daily trips to Twin Rivers.
Joe loved his family, a great joy was being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pepere was known for his tractor rides, which they will never forget. Pepere will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Funeral will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will be at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours are on Sunday, July 2nd from 1PM - 4PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the YMCA of Pawtucket, 660 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated.
