Crystal W. Hall

BURRILLVILLE - Crystal W. (Wright) Hall, 95, passed away with her family by her side, on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015 at home in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Rev. Frank S. Hall, former pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Harrisville. Born in Fabius, NY she was the daughter of the late Jay Austin and Violet (Ferguson) Wright.
Crystal worked as a school teacher for 19 years in the Burrillville School System before retiring in 1985 and was named RI State Teacher of the Year in 1974. She attended and received her Bachelor's Degree from the former Barrington College in 1967 and her Master's Degree from RI College in 1971. She was a member and former president of Delta Kappa Gama Society.
Crystal ran a kindergarten class, which was open to all town residents and held at Berean Baptist Church, before returning to college so that she could teach in the public schools.
She is survived by four sons: Gordon and Roger Hall of Pascoag, Frank Hall of Grafton, MA and Eric Hall of Glendale; three daughters: Laurel Engle of Millsboro, DE, Cheri Hall of Pascoag and Melodee Bowser of Harrisville; two sisters: Catherine Hall and Georgia Taber, both of NY, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters: Crystal and Valerie Hall and two brothers: David and James Wright.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at 10 AM in Berean Baptist Church, 474 Chapel St. Harrisville. Burial will follow in Pascoag Cemetery, Pascoag Main St., Burrillville. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7 PM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag.
