Daniel T. Lapre Sr.

CUMBERLAND - Daniel T. Lapre Sr., 66, of Cushing St. passed away Tuesday in the R. I. Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Mary Jane (Accialoli) Lapre.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late Alphonse and Lillian (Dupre), Lapre. He resided in Cumberland for the past 41 years having previously lived in Central Falls and Lincoln where he spent his formative years.
Daniel was employed as a welder for the J. H. Lynch Corp., Cumberland for 22 years until his retirement. He was previously employed by the General Dynamics Electric Boat Quonset for 13 years. Daniel was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era.
An all around family guy Daniel loved being around his family and his daily activities with his son Daniel. The family enjoyed his sarcastic humor, visits to New Hampshire where he could hike on his favorite mountains, enjoyed camping at Holiday Acres, fishing and of course he was a long time N. E. Patriots fan.
Besides his beloved wife he leaves two children; Rachel Lapre of Albion and Daniel T. Lapre Jr. at home; three siblings Carol Wilkins of Attleboro, Michael Lapre of North Smithfield and George Lapre of Pittsburgh, PA and course a devoted grandfather to John Anderson III of Albion. He was also the brother of the late Claire and Jeanie Lapre.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dan's Life Celebration on Monday, October 1, 2018. Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. with a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. with Military Honors to follow in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland.
