Daniel McAuley Obituary

PAWTUCKET – Daniel J. McAuley, 70, of Pawtucket. passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018.

Born in Pawtucket, the son of Helen (Burda) McAuley and the late Charles F. McAuley, he was raised in Lincoln and had lived in Pawtucket for many years.

Mr. McAuley had been previously employed as a carpenter and in the Dietetics Department at the Providence VA Hospital. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. McAuley was a member and Past Commander of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Almeida-Hines Chapter 22, Cumberland; Present Commander Eugene T. Lefebvre VFW Post 1271, Central Falls; member Vietnam Veterans of America, James Michael Ray Memorial Chapter 818; American Legion Post 14, Cumberland, and past member Cumberland Veterans Council. He was also a Life Member of Disabled American Veterans, Vietnam Veterans of America, and Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his brothers Charles McAuley (Judy) of Chepachet, and Timothy McAuley (Marie) of Pawtucket, and his sisters Mary Lamoureux (Ric) of Columbia Falls, Maine, and Eileen Matthews and Patricia McAuley of Lincoln, several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Many friends also survive him.

Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln. Burial will be in the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, at noon.

Relatives and friends are invited.
