David M. Auclair

1959 - 2017

WOONSOCKET - David M. Auclair, 57, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Miriam Hospital with his loving family by his side. Together for 32 years and married in 2002, David is the beloved husband of Rachel M. (Messier) Auclair. Born in Woonsocket, RI on October 25, 1959, he is the son of Wallace E. and Jeannette P. (Plante) Auclair of Blackstone, MA. He is the step-father of Michael J. Palazzini and his wife, Lynn of Warwick, RI, Karen Palazzini-Loomis and her husband, Eric of Mobile, AL, and Katherine Linton and her husband, Stephen of North Smithfield, RI; and step-grandchildren, Michael J. Palazzini and Lauren Palazzini. He is the brother of Edward Auclair and his wife, Debra of Nashua, NH, Janet Lamoureux and her husband, Dennis of Millville, MA, Suzanne Borozny of Blacktone, MA, Wallace Auclair and his wife, Rachel of Burrillville, RI and Laurie Richard and her husband, Roger of Fiskdale, MA. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
David was a resident of Woonsocket formerly of Blackstone and Boston. He was a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy Class of 1976, then Wentworth Institute and Roger Williams College receiving his Bachelor Degree in Engineering. David worked at Englehard in Plainville, MA for many years and JT Slocomb Co. in Cumberland, RI.
David enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, watching sports and Jeopardy. He was a talented craftsman and built a beautiful lake home at Spring Lake. Devoted to his family, David will be greatly missed.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 11:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
