Debra C. Levesque

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Debra C. Levesque, 64, of North Smithfield, RI died peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Marc R. Levesque. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Muriel (Lavallee) Clem of Woonsocket, RI and the late Arthur Clem.

Deb graduated from Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Women & Infants, RI Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence and Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. Throughout her life, she was an avid athlete and sports fan. She loved to cheer for her grandkids at their sports games and other activities. She was a member of the Bellingham Women's League, playing softball in the summer and volleyball in the winter. She enjoyed golfing with the Ocean State Women's Golf Association, as well as the Crystal Lake Ladies League. During the winters she enjoyed playing golf with her friends, husband and uncle at The Villages, FL where she got her first hole-in-one.

Besides her husband, she is survived by their children, Kristen Fletcher, and her husband Charles of Burrillville; Bryan Levesque, and his wife Kortnee of Douglas, MA; her brother Thomas Clem, and his wife Lisette of Woonsocket; her grandchildren, Alexis and Braydin Levesque, and Cohen and Kaylee Fletcher.

She had a smile that lit up a room and she always greeted everyone with a comforting hug. Deb will be remembered for her giving spirit and her positive attitude "taking one day at a time". She battled illnesses for many years and always persevered with patient uncomplaining acceptance. Her family is grateful for the support and passionate care she received from the entire staff at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in Milford, MA.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 8:45 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland, RI, or may be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/7625195398 Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. It was Deb's desire to have friends and family gather to remember and celebrate her life. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM.
