Doris Marie Derosier

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Doris Marie Derosier 96, was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island from a large and loving family. She resided at Saint Antoine Residence, North Smithfield and was also a former resident of Saint Germain Manor, Woonsocket.
She passed away peacefully on August 18, 2018, surrounded by love, support, and family. She was born on June 22, 1922, the daughter of Joseph Napoleon Durant and Mary Marie (Marcil); the wife of the deceased Leo Derosier and former wife of Raymond Boucher. She was the sister of a large family including both brothers and sisters.
She has been the beloved mother to Roland Boucher {deceased} (RI); Jeanne Geary (TX); Annette Hagen (VT, FL); Connie Mottram (NV); Claire Kennedy (CA); Raymond Boucher Jr. {deceased} (RI); Muriel Emond (MA); Paul Boucher (RI); and grandmother to Donna, Barbara, Tina, David, Richard, Sandy, Vicky, Alan, Eric, Thomas, Bryana, Bethany.
She also leaves many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as great-great grandchildren.
In her most recent years, she shared many family events with her youngest child Paul, her daughter-in-law Carmen and her grandchildren Bethany and Bryana. Together they shared holidays as well as vacationed in Puerto Rico. She enjoyed playing cards, creating yo-yo crafts and dipping her toes in the warm sandy beach.

Special thanks to the exceptional caring and supportive staff of Saint Antoine Residence that loved and grew to know the "button lady" and "candy giver" and the "teacher of solitaire".
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 am in the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery in Exeter. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
