Doris H. Remillard

1920 - 2015

BELLINGHAM - Doris H. (Morrissette) Remillard of Bellingham passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 in Milford Regional Medical Center at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of the late Bertrand Z. Remilard. Born on January 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Exina (Gibeau) Morrissette of Blackstone. She is survived by three daughters: Linda and her husband Wendell C. Perry of Lexington, KY; Donna and her husband William R. Yasick of Bellingham, with whom she lived; and Sandra Remillard of Bellingham, along with three grandchildren: Stephen W. Boulay of Bellingham, Matthew G. Boulay of Millville and Lila E. Perry of Lexington, KY, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven sisters and brothers: Henry Morrissette, Albert Morrissette, Joseph Morrissette, Anita Vespiri, Bertha Kelly, Florence Dumas, and Blanche Renaud.
She worked for many years at the French Worsted Co. in Woonsocket and then later for Tupperware in North Smithfield. She retired in 1985 from the Hilsinger Co. in Plainville.
Doris was an avid Red Sox fan her whole life and was thrilled to meet Pedro Martinez, her favorite player, when she was 93 years old. She loved to cook, sew, play cards and care for her cats.
