Edgar P. Guilbert

1923 - 2017

BELLINGHAM - Edgar P. Guilbert, 94, of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Woonsocket Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Medora M. (Leclerc) Guilbert for 71 years. Born in Woonsocket, RI on April 23, 1923, he was the son of the late Albert and Alice (Amyot) Guilbert.
He is the loving father of Richard E. Guilbert and his wife, Claudette of Kissimmee, FL, Robert J. Guilbert and his wife, Caroline of Boston, MA, and Susan A. Moreau and her husband, Laurent of Manville, RI He leaves his cherished 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and his late granddaughter Renee Niver and late great-granddaughter, Emily Niver. He is the brother of Jeannette Riendeau of North Smithfield, RI, Jacqueline Beauchemin of Woonsocket, RI, and the late Albert, Eugene, Gerald, and Paul, and the late Pauline Guilbert and Lucille Auger.
A resident of Bellingham, MA since 1966 formerly of Woonsocket, RI, Mr. Guilbert worked as a maintenance supervisor at JED Delta in Woonsocket for 10 years until retiring in 1985. Previously he was a supervisor at Northbridge Processing in Northbridge, MA and Draper Corporation in Hopedale, MA and the former Verdun Textile Company for 25 years in Woonsocket, RI. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
