Edgar A. Langlois

LANGLOIS, Edgar A., entered heaven's gates on April 17, 2015 after a three year illness. He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, a son of the late Edgar and Melanie (Messier) Langlois. He lived in RI until moving to Tampa in 1990.
Ed's purpose in life was to serve others. He studied theology and philosophy at Our Lady of Providence Seminary in RI and St. Paul's University of Ottawa, Canada. After he left the clergy, Ed became a property manager for housing facilities that provided for low income senior citizens in RI, Attleboro and Tampa. He enjoyed managing the properties and developing a sense of community for his residents. In retirement he was a volunteer for St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, and was the proud foster father for two wonderful children.
Ed was a distinguished member of the Knights of Columbus (4th degree) at St. Mark the Evangelist Church and a past Grand Knight at Incarnation Church in Tampa. He loved the Catholic Church and made every effort to attend Mass despite his failing health. He will be remembered for his love of life and his gentle loving spirit.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean (Deignan); his faithful dog, Cleo and his sister Olive Cadorette of California. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jeannette, and his sister, Estelle Langlois.
