Edmond Farrell Obituary
Ed was also the husband of the late Ilene T. (Burns) Farrell and Claire Early Farrell.
He was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Edmond H. Farrell Sr. and Priscilla (Connors) Farrell.
Mr. Farrell was a United States Veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving in World War II.
He served as a lieutenant on the Pawtucket Fire Department for many years Lieutenant Farrell truly enjoyed his years on the Pawtucket Fire Department, always referring to it as the greatest job in the world. Lt. Farrell served as the Pawtucket fire marshal for many years before he retired.
Besides his wife Maureen, Lt. Farrell is survived by his children: Michael Farrell and his wife Kimberly of Franklin, Ilene Martina Farrell of Pawtucket, Margaret "Peggy" Grant and her husband Douglas of Pawtucket, and Paula Farrell Pletcher and her husband Brian of Pawtucket. Lt. Farrell is survived by his three grandchildren, Michael, Ryan and Shannon, and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late John Farrell.
The funeral for Ed will be Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 9 a.m. from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket at 10 a.m. His burial will be with full Military Honors in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours will be on Monday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

To the entire Farrell family,
There was never a finer man than Ed Farrell...a loving husband, father,grandfather and friend. He gave so much of himself with his many years of service in the military as well as the Fire Department,but his greatest gift was his love and dedication to his family.
We will always remember his warm smile and gentle manner, and of course the great strength he showed during the most difficult times. He left a proud legacy to his family. He was surely one of the greatest generation.
