Edward Raymond Maynard, Sr.

Edward Raymond Maynard, Sr., 78, passed peacefully at home on April 19, 2021, surrounded by his children Renee, Scott, Nicole and his late son Edward Jr whose presence was felt. His final days were filled with stories and sharing of memories and songs as well as final hugs and kisses.

Ed was the son of the late Absalom Bellmore Maynard and Rosilda Loretta Maynard. He was born into a large family with six siblings consisting of four brothers Robert, Donald, Henry and Absalom, Jr. and two sisters Jacquelyn and Yvonne.

He was a "cool" grandfather to his eight grandchildren: Valerie, Amanda, Daniel, Jared, Andrew, Eric, John and Kenneth. Ed was also a great grandfather to eight great grandchildren Ariana, Alexzander, Sahara, Gwynevere, Caiden P., Harley, Carter and Caiden B.

Ed served in the Navy as an electronic engineer. He loved to mention that he never went on a boat. Ed was an enthusiastic motorcycle rider, he was often seen out riding on a Sunday "mystery ride" with his gang. He also enjoyed fishing with Scott, football, and Nascar racing.

Ed will be sadly missed, but will remain strong in his family's minds and hearts. His legacy will continue through his family.
