Fred Piasecki Obituary

CUMBERLAND – Fred J. Piasecki, 94, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Rose (Szymanski) Piasecki.

Born in Cumberland, a son of the late Wladyslaw and Amelia (Kapinos) Piasecki, he had resided in Cumberland most of his life.
Mr. Piasecki was a self-employed owner of Fred's Catering for over 40 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of St. Thomas Knights of Columbus #1472 of Cumberland.

He is survived by his sons, Fred P. and his wife Eileen Piasecki of North Attleboro, and John C. and his wife Annette Piasecki of Pawtucket; his sister, Genevieve Jackson of Cumberland; his daughter-in-law, Maryann Piasecki of Cumberland; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Kenneth J. Piasecki and the brother of the late Charles and Stanley Piasecki.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln. Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket. Calling hours are on Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred's memory to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of R.I., 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
