Jack Conte

WOONSOCKET - Jack Conte, 89, of Village Rd., died Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Center with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Helen (Lavallee) Conte.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Charles and Marie (Greco) Conte. Jack worked in several textile mills in the area prior to retiring. He is a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict obtaining the Korean Service Medal and two Bronze Service Stars.
Jack enjoyed history as well as current events and he would never miss watching city council meetings and loved listening to the Woonsocket station, WNRI.
He is survived by his four children; Ronald Conte, Dino Conte and Joyce Haganey all of Woonsocket and Paula Mele of Richmond, RI. Twelve granchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Clara Beaudoin and Theresa Nolan both of Florida.
Jack was also the father of the late Janice Mendoza and brother of the late Angelo, John, Charles,Frank, Nicholas, Anna, and Mary.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd Woonsocket RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St. Woonsocket.
Burial will be private at a later date in Resurrection cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 9-10 AM.
