Jacqueline F. Hill

WOONSOCKET - Jacqueline F. (Castonguay) (Chevalier) Hill, 85, of Woonsocket passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She is the beloved wife of the late Alvin O. Hill and the late Roland R. Chevalier.

Born in Manville on Feb. 28, 1930, the daughter of the late Francois and Hermine (Lafond) Castonguay. She is the loving mother of the late Lillian L. Durand and her husband, Rene of Burrillville, Lucille T. Solecki and her husband, John of Woonsocket, and Rita L. Martinelli and her husband, Richard of Bellingham. She leaves her cherished five grandchildren, Roland Martinelli, Jason, Justin, Thomas and Kristie Solecki and five great-grandchildren Mariah, Dominic, Olivia, Maya and Tyler.

A longtime resident of Woonsocket formerly of Manville where she was raised and had worked as a weaver at Cadillac Textiles of Central Falls, Hanora Mills and Rosecraft both of Woonsocket. Mrs. Hill was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church and served as an alter server and volunteered at the food pantry, parish bazaar and cleaning the church. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.

Funeral will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 190 North Main Street, Woonsocket. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Monday, Jan. 4 from 5-8 p.m.at the funeral home.
